Ramadhan buffet!

Our pick for Ramadhan buffet this year: BCCK! (Borneo Convention Centre Kuching)

Eat all you can @ RM55 nett per pax.

I think it’s the BEST ramadhan buffet in town! Lots of choices & better quality than Orchid Garden, Holiday Inn.

Was supposed to join ex-hub colleagues for the Ramadhan buffet @ Holiday Inn, due to reason, the gathering was cancelled!

A Blessed Christmas world!

.

"What is Christmas?" asked the priest during the midnight mass.

Is it Santa, Christmas tree, presents, etc. you have in mind?
Christmas isn't Christmas WITHOUT Jesus Christ.

Christmas is the birth of Jesus,
who save us from sin by dying on the Cross.

Had Christmas Eve dinner with Ling and my family!
Lovely!

As usual,
Lamb, Beef, Cottage pie is a MUST.

This year a little different.
We didn't ordered any lamb or beef from restaurant.
Mum decided to cook them with her new OVEN!

Turkish Cous-Cous Salad!
I got the inspiration from Effa! Thanks ;)

French loaf from ColdStorage. My dad love them the most!

Cottage Pie ;) my favourite

Christmas for me, also means charity and love.

Visited the Sarawak Cheshire Home before Christmas.
Gave them a lil' Christmas party to cheer them up!

They were disabled so most of them on wheel chairs.
I even help to fed one of the kid there ;)

Some of them are independent and helpful.
Help among themselves in moving around, etc.

They are SPECIAL.
God created them so much different than us.
God do LOVE them so much too.

Then, I realised, we all should be THANKFUL for everything we have!

Musical round! Passing of gift around!

Food for them!
Beehoon, fried rice, fishball, sausages, sandwiches, satay and a lot more!

Having their yummy food ;)

God Give Us eyes this Christmas

To see the Christmas Star.

And give us ears to hear the song of angels from afar

And, with our eyes and ears attuned

for a message from above,

Let "Christmas Angels" speak to usof hope and faith and love

Hope to light our pathway

When the way ahead is dark,

Hope to sing through stormy days,

with the sweetness of the lark

Faith to trust in things unseen

and know beyond all seeing

That it is in our Fathers love

We live and have our being

And love to break down barriers of color, race and creed,

Love to see and understandand help all those in need.

Amen

friday:
my last day for my three years in an audit firm.
packed all my stuff with heavy heart.
I won't be coming back on Monday. and never again.
Returned the keys & the access card.

Halfway cleaning/clearing my stuff,
Already had the christmas wallpaper on ;)

After cleaning/clearing my stuff.
Do you notice the green plant in the pic?
In Hokkien, it's call "Bak Chao".
Chinese belief, the "bak chao" is commonly used to
ward off negative energy or to cleanse oneself.

Colleagues said, something wasn't right in the office.
Everyone fall sick. Bad things happened.
So, they brought that plant to office,
hoping that it can ward of the negative energy in the office.

Hope so ;)

saturday:
dad's birthday.
I made cupcakes for him ;)

Simple cupcake,
Basic vanilla cupcake receipe
Must have ingredients:

175g self-raising flour
150g castored sugar
150g butter (softened)
3 eggs
1/2 tsp vanilla powder

this recipe above can make up to 12 cupcakes (normal size)

First of all, mix the butter and the castor sugar together.

Then, add the eggs.

This is after mixing all the ingredients.
Beat until light and creamy.

Divide the mixture evenly between the cake cases.

Just pour mixture, half only. it's gonna rise up.

My 1st batch in the oven.
Bake for 20 minutes until risen and firm.

10 minutes later...

Out from the oven.
Strong vanila aroma fills the kitchen.
Mmmm~

It's so tempting!

Try it out yourself.
It's easy to make ;)

Simple decoration of wordings with icing sugar.
HAPPY 50TH BIRTHDAY DAD ;)

Love always ;)

p/s: I planned to make 24 cupcakes but ended 36 cupcakes. I guess it's due to the small size of cup cases.

Madagascar Fever!!!

Madagascar : Escape 2 Arfica, on screen 13th November 2008!!

McDonald come up with a new menu, "Move it Meal"
Double McChicken, Large move it shaker fries & Green McFizz ;) Yum!
So, had my Move it Meal yesterday.

My McFizz & Move it McShaker Fries.

The McFizz is almost similar to the Finding Nemo,
crushed pineapple + zesty sprite, and it's green.
Refreshing indeed ;)

Move it McShaker Fries + BBQ twist flavouring.
Move it, move it, shake it, shake it.

Almost taste like the Mamee Monster flavouring
Btw, don't dump in the whole packet of seasoning.
It's salty + too much ajinamoto. Lol.

Juicy chicken patties + fresh lettuce + creamy mayo = McD Double McChicken
I love the whole Move it meal packing too ;)

I'm Lovin' It!
